My name is Lexi and I decided to start this blog to document some of my life and the thoughts that run through my head. You’ll find posts about my family, about myself and about the changing seasons here in my home state of Kansas! And no, I DO NOT LIKE TORNADOES even though I’m from Kansas. But I do love rainbows.
I’m the oldest of 4 kids with 4 younger brothers, who can be quite annoying sometimes. Especially when they wake me up from an afternoon nap. Do I mind being the only girl in my family? NOPE! I always get my own room, and I have plenty of friends to chat with, sing with and just be teenage-crazy with. Plus no one steals my clothes, though I have started stealing my mom’s!
Who am I? Here are a few bullet points for you to get to know me better:
- Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior!
- I am now in high school but I still don’t know what I plan on doing as an adult
- My favorite subjects in school are art and history
- Something new for me this year is being a cheerleader. So much fun!
- Driving with my dad is better than with my mom. Don’t know why, just is
- Chicken fettucine alfredo with broccoli is my favorite meal
- I love animals and wish we had a dog. I don’t want a bird
- My favorite season is the fall. Not too hot, not too cold and the leaves are gorgeous
- I was diagnosed with Gaucher Type 3 when I was about 18months old.
- Reading and writing can be difficult for me, and tiring.
- Exercise makes me tired quickly. But I still do it!
- I have a nurse come in every other week to hook me up to an IV for my treatments, which helps a lot
- Church is a big part of my life and most of really good friends are there
That’s kinda it for me. I’m going to keep this blog updated with some more posts as I sing and dance in my room, make up stories with myself as the main character and snuggle up in bed with my phone and my coffee!
